Certification Renewal

The manufacturers, particularly Shaw and Mohawk, require us to get “Re-Certified” once every two years. 

To meet their requirements, we offered our members several affordable options: attend a CFIU virtual class, attend or purchase 4 Team Meetings, take a CFIU online exam, or take a class with ITS, IICRC, IFCII, or NWFA.

Since Team Meetings are free, they offer substantial savings on re-certification costs compared to other organizations.

About Team Meetings and How to get Credits for your Re-Certification:

  • When your Certificate Expiration date is getting close:
    • You’ll start receiving reminders 90 days before your earliest certification (carpet and/or hard surface) expiration date.
  • Team meeting links are now in your dashboard under Team Meetings.
    • You can add the meeting dates to your online calendar using the link next to the “Join Team Meeting” button.
    • We have room for 100 people at each meeting. If more than 100 people register, entry will be first come, first served.
  • We maintain meeting attendance, including the time you spent in the meeting.
    • We issue certificates to each attendee after the meeting.
    • Certificates will not be issued if you don’t attend at least 90 minutes of the full 2-hour meeting.
  • Each Team Meeting will equal 1 credit.
    • 4 Credits will be required for Renewal within your 2-year certificate expiration date.
  • You can purchase Team Meetings for $25.00 each if you can’t attend or need additional credits.
    • Contact us for your Certificate when you complete the recording.
  • Once you have fulfilled your Certification Renewal requirements, pay your biennial update fee (listed below)
    • You will receive emails with the appropriate renewal fee based on your age. The payment link will take you to Square checkout; “CFI University” will be visible in the payment link.
