Certification updates are required by the Mills once every 2 years

Update Options:

To maintain your CFIU certification, at least one of the following update options is required once every two (2) years:

• Attend four (4) complimentary CFIU Team Meetings within the 2-year certification period.
  • If you attended fewer than 4 meetings, you may purchase additional meeting credits for $25.00 each to reach the required total of 4.
  • After completing the requirement, pay the applicable certification update fee based on your age.
• Purchase and complete a CFIU online certification course, such as Solid Wood Gapping ($250.00) or Ceramic Tile ($250.00).
  • The course fee includes your certification update fee.
• Attend the Stone Course in Sept 2026.
  • The course fee includes your certification update fee.
• Purchase and successfully pass the CFIU online update examination.
  • The cost of the examination is the same as your applicable certification update fee.
• Attend a two-day CFIU Zoom training class for $250.00.
  • The registration fee includes your certification update fee.
• Attend an approved training program offered by another organization, such as IICRC, ITS, IIFCI, the NICFI Conference, or a Flooring Educational Guild seminar.
  • The course must receive prior CFIU approval.
  • After completing the approved training, pay the applicable certification update fee based on your age.

Under 65 years old as of September 1st of the current year:
Update fee due once every 2 years. Payment Link: $200.00 under 65 Years Old

Over 65 years old as of September 1st of the current year:
Update fee due once every 2 years. Payment Link: $150.00  over 65 Years Old

Over 70 years old as of September 1st of the current year:
Update fee due once every 2 years. Payment Link: $125.00 over 70 Years Old

Over 75 years old as of September 1st of the current year:
Update fee due once every 2 years. Payment Link: 100.00 Update Class over 75 Years Old

Over 80 years old as of September 1st of the current year for those with 2 years of previous CFIU membership and must attend the same ongoing education: update fee: $0
